My mind is made up and there is no going back on this. Come tomorrow, I will port out from Globacom.
Glo services has tormented me for so long. And I definitely can no longer take it anymore.
But for my long temperance owing to the fact that Glo was the first GSM Company I patronized, I would have long discarded their line.
Bitterly, I know that Nigeria is bedeviled with bad customer service delivery nationwide. However, the depth and severity of Glo poor network are acute and horrifying.
If it is within my power, I would curse the day I bought my Glo line. That was 7 years ago. I have over years nursed the hope that their services would improve. But alas, it never got to be. My relocation to several parts of Nigeria still did not make any difference.
I know I am not in this mess alone. But even if I was, it still would not change my decision.
I present to you 3 reasons why I must dump my Glo line.
- Extremely poor call service
Glo call services is horrible. Their call services if solely relied on can lead to frustration and disappointment. I cannot count the hundreds of times that I have been left stranded due to their fluctuation and breaking calls. Admitted, there is no perfect network. But seriously, Glo is killing. I get scared using Glo line to make important calls. How can Glo just be adamant on this bad omen?
- Cheap but worst data services
Glo has really lived out the adage that says; buy cheap, buy twice. I feel pained to make any download using their services. Accessing my Email is a herculean task. 3G/4G LTE is meaningless with them. Modem or no Modem, the story is still the same. I hate to recount any browsing experience with Glo network. It is a mockery to anything that good customer services should represent.
- Very unconcerned customer care
No matter how hard and high you complain, Glo customer care will really never care. It’s bad that their services are extremely poor, but it is worse that their customer relationship is grossly indifferent to customer pains. No matter the means you use to submit your service complaints, the result is always useless.
Except there is a special and reserved network for top management staff in Globacom, else I don’t see them relying on their data services to browse.
I challenge any Glo staff residing in any part of south East Nigeria to proof me wrong. This is an open contest. Let’s test your data services on your own devices.
Finally, I know my exit from Glo services will not really have any impact on their mega fortunes. And the same will be for as many customers that will leave them tomorrow.
Not that there is any guaranteed Eldorado in other network service providers. But one thing is certain; I have tested and confirmed that Glo services is a failure over years.
It is now time to test unknown waters. And in this case, the devil I know cannot be better than an unknown angel. For an angel will always remain an angel. And the damnation of the devil I know cannot be ever desired.
Apologies if I have sounded quite immodest. But that is just how I have felt over the years with Glo services. I am really pained.
